M. with the visitations beginning at 9:00 A. M. at Mt. Triumph B. C. in Barbreak, LA. Burial will be in Little Bethel Cemetery in St. Landry, LA.

Rev. Gregory Craig will officiate the funeral service. On Tuesday, January 1, 2019, at Opelousas General Hospital, the curtains of life drew back and welcomed Willis to his heavenly home.

Filled with empty wells of loneliness, yet cherishing fond memories of Willis will be his wife: Dianna Thomas of Ville Platte, LA; 2 daughters: Paula Thomas of Ville Platte, LA and Tranise Thomas of Opelousas, LA; 1 son: Bryan Keith Thomas of Ville Platte, LA; 2 sisters: Rachel Spriggins of Ville Platte, LA and Lottie Frank of Mamou, LA; 4 brothers: Elijah (Parfenia) Spriggins and Lester Spriggins both of St. Landry, LA, Laurent Toussaint of Ville Platte, LA and Dixie Winn of Houston, TX; his aunt and uncle: Martha and Alex Matthews of Ville Platte, LA; 2 Godchildren; 13 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Willie and Louise Spriggins; one sister: Bonnie Spriggins; and 2 brothers: William August and Lionel Spriggins. Owens-Thomas Funeral Home of Ville Platte is in charge of arrangements.
