Wilma L. Creech, 82 years old, passed away at 4:58 a.m. on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at her home, surrounded by her family. Mrs. Creech was born on March 30, 1936 in Gallipolis, OH to the late Chester and Verna L. (Moore) Conner. She has lived in South Bend most of her life.

Mrs. Creech has been a pastor for the past 38 years. Her most recent calling was to the Zion House of Prayer and Healing in South Bend. On January 29, 1959 in South Bend, Wilma and Raymond Creech were united in marriage.

Raymond preceded in death on March 26, 2000. One sister, Ethel Scarberry, and five brothers, Rev. Charles, Merrill, Everette, and Paul Conner, and Homer Lycan all preceded their sister in death.

Mrs. Creech is survived by her six children, Benny R. (Dawn) Creech of New Carlisle, Chester Allen (Mary) Creech of North Liberty, David L. Creech of South Bend, Daniel L. (Kim) Creech of Brighton, MI, John A. (Melanie) Creech of New Carlisle, and Verna M. (Ted) Klamerus of Raleigh, NC; fourteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; and one sister, Dorothy Adkins of West Virginia. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan Street, South Bend. Graveside services and burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger.

Friends may visit with the family from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Wilma L. Creech may be offered to Boys Town, P.O. Box 8000, Boys Town, NE 68010. Online condolences may be offered to the Creech family at www.
