Wilma Marsh Brewer February 9, 1933 ~ March 16, 2019 Wilma Marsh Brewer, 86, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother passed away at her home in Ogden, Utah on Saturday, March 16, 2019. She was born on February 9, 1933 in Denver, Colorado to her parents George Henry and Vera Elizabeth Gosnell Brewer. She was raised with her seven siblings in Denver, Colorado.

She moved to Ogden, Utah in 1951, when she met her future husband in a boarding house where they lived. She married Clinton Ervin Grandy on December 1, 1951, in Clinton’s childhood home in Paris, Idaho. They were married 21 years and then divorced.

She married Richard Eastman in 1974 in Nevada and they later divorced. Wilma had a very warm and outgoing personality. She loved people and made friends easily.

After she moved to Ogden she worked for Western Union and at the Union Station. She then worked as a waitress in many restaurants in downtown Ogden for 30 years. In 1982, Wilma attended the Ogden Vocational Center and received her CNA certificate and became a nurse’s aide.

She worked at the Wasatch Care Center for three years, CNA for Weber County, and then worked and retired from Intermountain Health Care. After retirement, Wilma volunteered as part of the grandparents program at an elementary school for a few years. Mom loved to spend time with her daughters doing whatever they wanted to do.

She loved being with her grand and great-grandchildren. She loved to travel, go to movies, and read. She also cherished the time she got to spend with her brothers and sisters.

For the past ten years, mom has really enjoyed her friendships and activities at the Union Gardens Apartments, where she lived at the time of her death. She enjoyed her Wii bowling teams and other fun socials there. Wilma was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Wilma is survived by her three daughters, Kristene Uram of Ogden, Colleen (Alan) Glass of North Ogden, and Charlotte (Randy) Kunz of Harrisville; stepson, Reed (Bille) Grandy of Morgan Hill, California; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; four sisters, and one brother, Betty Ashenbrenner of Portland, Oregon, Wanda York of Denver, Colorado, Patricia Howe of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, Vicki Loyless of Louisville, Kentucky, and Richard Brewer of Peoria, Arizona. She was preceded in death by her son, Craig Ervin Grandy; parents, and two brothers, George Brewer and William Brewer. The family would like to thank everyone at her Union Gardens Apartments Complex for your friendship and love.

You all became mom’s second family. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 25, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. at a later date.
