Jonathan Allen Wold July 28, 1983 ~ March 6, 2019 On March 6, 2019, we lost our beloved Jonathan Allen Wold, 35, of Syracuse, Utah. Jon was born in Ogden, Utah, on July 28, 1983, to parents Cindy Sue Buck and James Lynn Wold Jr He graduated from Ben Lomond High School in 2001, where he played varsity tennis and was a Region Doubles Champion.
He went on to attend Fullerton College in Orange County, California, and obtained a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Weber State University. Jon was employed as Accounting Manager and oversaw Provider Compensation at the Ogden Clinic, where he worked since 2012. During that time, his dedication and results provided tremendous value to the organization such that he received several promotions for his hard work and achieved his Certified Fraud Examiner credential (CFE).
It would be hard to find anyone more dedicated to his craft and proud of meeting his commitments. Jon was an extraordinary accountant, and an amazing leader and mentor. Anyone who worked closely with Jon was surely more knowledgeable than before.
He was always helping his team to improve and grow. Jon embodied the highest levels of nobility both professionally and personally. He’ll be remembered for his incredible generosity, loyalty, and how he was always willing to help his family and friends at a moment’s notice.
Jon had a tremendously sharp wit and was usually the funniest guy in the room, making everyone laugh and sometimes blush. And if you’re talking Accounting or Excel, he was the smartest guy in the room. He was simply an awesome human being and he left us way too soon.
He loved music and sports and played golf much less than he would have liked. His greatest joy was being with his family and friends. Jon found love in his partner Terri Bendixsen and was like a second father to her children Addison and Bella.
Jon also had a special relationship with his Grandma and Grandpa Wold and loved attending shows and plays with Grandma and watching sports and arguing with Grandpa. He is survived by his parents, Cindy Buck and Jim Jr. & Shelby Wold, his partner Terri Bendixsen & her children Addison and Bella, sisters Brandy Hopkins (Kelly), and Camille Wold, brothers Jim Wold III (Becky), Joe Wold (Nikki), CJ Miconi (Shellie), Tyler Miconi (Kim), and grandparents Carolyn & Jim Wold Sr. Jon also says goodbye to many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and cousins all of whom will miss him dearly. Jon is preceded in death by grandparents Barbara & Allen Buck.
A celebration of Jon’s life will be held at the Ogden Golf and Country Club on April 27, 2019 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary. In lieu of flowers the family has set up the Jon Wold Memorial Fund at America First acct# 9108275.
