Obituary for Winifred Joan “Dodie” Hudson Winifred Joan “Dodie” Hudson, 85 formerly of Connersville, passed away on August 27, 2018 in Rushville. She was born on July 31, 1933 in Connersville, IN to the late Omer and Irene (Gerling) Pea. Dodie was a 1951 graduate of Connersville High School.

She married Edwin E. Hudson on July 11, 1951 and he precedes her in death on August 28, 2009. Dodie and her husband co-owned the Standard Oil Bulk Plant in Glenwood from 1956-1962. They also co-owned the Standard Oil Bulk Plant in Franklin, IN from 1967-1976.

She was part of the Decatur County Rural Couples Club and Rush County Senior Citizen’s Center. Winifred is survived by her loving companion, Paul Snyder of Connersville; step-sister, Vivian Bergham of Florida; sister-in-law, Sarah Ann Jobe of Milton; and many nieces and nephews. Winifred is also preceded in death by her brother, Omer Bernard Pea and step-mother, Dorothy Pea.

Services will be held on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at 10 AM, with Pastor John Pea presiding. Friends are welcome to visit the family on Wednesday evening at the mortuary from 5PM-7PM. Burial will be in Rushville East Hill.
