Obituary for Yvonne A. Hubble Yvonne Anna Hubble was born to Alice and Arnold Huegel on Nov. 25, 1930, in Ferndale, Mich. The middle child between two sisters, Yvonne was bright, inquisitive and loved socializing.

She began working at Michigan Bell after high school and was often recognized for her punctuality and perfect attendance. This was an even more remarkable achievement considering she took the bus, each and every day, for 35 years. Yvonne married Gerald Hubble, Jr., on New Year’s Eve in 1955 and later gave birth to their daughter Lorra.

Gerald died in 1966, and Yvonne’s faith became the cornerstone of her life. She was dedicated to her church community, serving as a Sunday school teacher and later as a member of the choir. Yvonne will be greatly missed by the Grace Baptist Church congregation where she attended services and sang for more than three decades.

She passed peacefully on Dec. 31, 2018, the same day as her 63rd wedding anniversary. Yvonne is survived by her daughter Lorra, who lovingly cared for her throughout her later years.

She also leaves behind her two cherished sisters Margaret (Peg) Edwards and Iris Cattel – and many loving nieces and nephews, Tom (Janet) Cattel, Gary (Cheryl) Cattel, Jim (Lory) Herrington, Lynn (Thom) McCurdy and Sandy (Dan Brashear) Herrington. A celebration of Yvonne’s life will be held on Fri. , Jan.

4, with a 10 a.m. visitation and an 11 a.m. funeral service at Grace Baptist Church in Birmingham, Mich.
