Obituary for Ziera S. Nickerson Ziera Nickerson, 18 Kearney resident Ziera Nickerson, 18, of Kearney died Tuesday, October 16, 2018 as the result of a motor vehicle accident. Funeral services will be 10:30 am Monday, October 22 at the Kearney First United Methodist Church in Kearney. The Rev.

So Yeong Son will officiate. Interment will follow at the Kearney Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 pm Sunday at the O’Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral Home in Kearney and one hour prior to the service at the church.

Services are entrusted to O’Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral and Cremation Services. Ziera was born December 1, 1999 in Kearney, Nebraska to Ken and Deanna (Hixon) Nickerson. She received her education from Kearney High School, graduating in 2018.

Ziera was currently enrolled at the University of Nebraska-Kearney where she majored in Biology/Pre-Nursing. She recently pledged at the AOII Sorority. Ziera always lived life to the fullest.

She was passionate about her pets and enjoyed spending her free time with friends and family. Her contagious laughter and quick wit are just a few of her most treasured qualities. She will be remembered for her big beautiful eyes that were the keys to her heart and soul.

Left to cherish her memory are her mother Deanna Nickerson of Kearney; her father Ken Nickerson of Kearney; sister Alicia Hixon of Overland Park, KS; brother Zeth Nickerson of Kearney; grandfather Dave Nickerson of Edcouch, TX; uncles and aunts Jay (Sherry) Hixon, Tom (Jill) Nickerson, Bob (Susan) Nickerson, Nancy (Tom) Corey and Judy Nickerson; cousin Cassandra Hixon; as well as many extended relatives and friends.
