Adolph’s Obituary TURCHI, Adolph “Al” Leon – of Flint, MI, age 90, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2019. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 AM Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5199 Richfield Road, Flint, MI 48506; Rev. Fr.

Roy Horning and Rev. Fr. Francis Faraci con-celebrating.

Interment in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 3-8 PM Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423 and 10-11 AM Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. A Rosary will be prayed 7 PM Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Allen Funeral Home by Rev.

Fr. Dominic Savoie. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Rosary Catholic Church or School, in Al’s memory.

Adolph was born in Glenridge, IL on April 26, 1928, son of the late Amos and Mary (Poli) Turchi. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. Al married Carmela DeVito on June 10, 1950.

He worked as a barber in Flint, MI for 25 years and then worked as an agent for Farmers Insurance for another 25 years. Al enjoyed gardening, traveling, RV’ing, camping, raising chickens and he was an avid Chicago Cubs baseball fan. He was a founding member and very active member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church where he served as an Usher and Bingo chairman for 40 years.

Al was also a lifetime member of the Third Degree Knights of Columbus Davison Council #4090. Adolph is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Carmela; 8 children, Rita (Robert) Hodack, Teresa (Dennis) Savoie, Brenda Turchi, Matthew (Mary) Turchi, Mark (Nancy) Turchi, Luke (Pam) Turchi, Paul (Jann) Turchi and Maria (Chris) Pavelich; 19 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Annette Marie Turchi and sister, Dolores (Merrill) Tolene.
