Alana’s Obituary Obituary Alana Talbot Moellmann, 56 Alana Talbot Moellmann, 56, of Amarillo, Texas passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, February 11, 2019 due to complication from Type 1 Diabetes. She was born August 17, 1962 in Logan, Utah to Eugene and Joyce Talbot. She left the hospital with them to join her 4 older sisters on their farm in Moreland, Idaho.

She graduated from Snake River High School in 1980 where she was active in sports, drill team and Chamber Singers. She attended and graduated from Cosmetology school in Rexburg, Idaho. Alana was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a mission in the Kentucky, Louisville mission.

She met James Randolph Moellmann in the Mission Training Center and they decided to see each other after their prospective missions were fulfilled. They were married on May 19, 1989 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They made their home in Rockford, Illinois.

They later moved to Utah where they lived until 2016 when they moved to Amarillo, Texas. Alana was active in her church where she served in many different callings. Her favorites included those involving music.

She loved to sing and play the piano. So many lives have been blessed with these talents. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Norman J and Thelma Nessen Chatterton, paternal grandparents Henry Leon and Alice Naomi Seamons Talbot, sister Kristine Talbot Olsen, brother in law David Lamar Olsen, father in law Guenther Anton Moellmann and mother in law Beverly Lorraine Smith Moellmann.

Alana is survived by her husband James Randolph Moellmann, sons Derek James and Devin Michael (Brittnee) Moellmann, her parents Hyrum Eugene and Joycealene Chatterton Talbot, sisters Pamela (Layne) Harker, Dawnette (Kent) Oram, Laurel (Brian) VanOrden, brother Kyle Eugene Talbot and many nieces and nephews who love her dearly. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 16, 2019 at the Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Avenue in Blackfoot. The family will meet with friends and relatives one hour prior to the funeral.
