Alberta Guebert October 31, 1928 – January 12, 2019 STEELEVILLE – Alberta Guebert, 90, of Steeleville passed away at 5:15 AM, Saturday, January 12, 2019, at the Coulterville Care Center, in Coulterville. Alberta was born on October 31, 1928, in Steeleville the daughter of Eddie and Ella (Eggemeyer) Weaver. She married Albert A. Guebert, on April 30, 1949, in Steeleville and they shared nearly 59 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on April 10, 2008.

Mrs. Guebert was a homemaker and a member of the Peace Lutheran Church in Steeleville, where she was the financial secretary for 50 years, the Percy American Legion Auxiliary Post #1145, the Steeleville Senior Citizens, and the Meals on Wheels with the Senior Site. Alberta was totally dedicated to the education of her 5 sons. Alberta is survived by her children; Bruce (Deb) Guebert, of Steeleville, Kent (Jeannie) Guebert, of Bourbonnais, Don (Barbara) Guebert, of Herrin, Mike (Carolyn) Guebert, of Upland, Indiana, Scott (Tracy) Guebert, of Martinsville, Virginia, 14 grandchildren; Jenifer (Chris) Parker, Mat (DeYonna) Guebert, Kyle Guebert, Gigi (Jean) Curbow, Greg (Mara) Guebert, Katie Guebert, Laura Guebert, Alyssa (Adam) Golder, Emily Guebert, Davis Guebert, James Guebert, Ethan (Sarah) Guebert, Erich Guebert, Emmie Guebert, 2 great grandchildren; Deyleigh and Maddin Guebert.

Mrs. Guebert was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, January 19, 2019, at the Peace Lutheran Church in Steeleville with Minister Deb Rathert, and Rev. Dr. Scott Foshie, officiating, burial will follow at the Peace Lutheran Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Friday evening at the Wilson’s Funeral Home in Steeleville where friends may call from 5 to 8 PM and on Saturday morning from 7:30 to 9 AM, and from 10 to 11 AM at the church. Memorials may be made to Peace Lutheran Church Food Pantry, or the Steeleville Senior Citizens.
