Obituary for Alfred Wolfenbarger Alfred Wolfenbarger -June 22, 2018 Alfred Wolfenbarger 71, of La Porte, passed away Friday June 22, 2018 at La Porte Hospital. He was born on February 19, 1947 in La Porte, the son of Alfred “Bud” Wolfenbarger and Pearl (Cavinder) Wolfenbarger . On June 29, 1968 he married Lucy (Kline) Wolfenbarger who survives.

He is also survived by his two sons, Alfred L. “Bud” (Avita) Wolfenbarger, Jr., of Las Vegas, Ray A. (Amy) Wolfenbarger of New Carlisle, daughter, Dawn A. (Mike) Horn of La Porte, three Grandchildren, Zoe Wolfenbarger, Bailee Wolfenbarger and Wyatt Horn, three brothers, Edward Wolfenbarger of South Bend, Michael (Vic) Wolfenbarger of Kingsbury and Theo Wolfenbarger of AR. Alfred was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert Wolfenbarger, Richard Wolfenbarger, Don Wolfenbarger, sisters, Betty Kneifel, Susan Sanders and Chris Wolfenbarger. Alfred enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He loved to be outdoors, wether it be mushroom hunting, feeding the birds or watching his garden flourish. He was an excellent cook and enjoyed brewing craft drinks with his son Ray. Even though he was a very quiet man, he was adored by many and will be missed by all.

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave. , LaPorte, where the family will receive friends on Friday, June 29, 2018 beginning at 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm (Central Standard Time). A life celebration will commence at 3:00 pm with Father Frank Endres officiating.
