Boswell née Murphy, 93 of Waldwick returned to God peacefully on December 1, 2018. She was the beloved wife of the late Howard Boswell, Sr and the dedicated mother to the late Howard, Jr and John Boswell. She is survived by her three sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen and Karen of Wyckoff, Bruce and Maureen of Waldwick, Kevin and Kathleen of Franklin Lakes, Patricia Boswell of Waldwick and Isabel of West Palm Beach, Florida.

A dedicated mother who cared most about her family, Alice is survived by eleven grandchildren, Kevin, Michael, Scott, Kristen, Brendan, Meghan, Caitlin, Riley, Craig, Luke and Ashley, and two great grandchildren, Samantha and Joshua. She was the loving sister of the late Ruth Belthoff who married Robert. She was Aunt Alice to their children and grandchildren.

Alice, as the matriarch of the family, was loved and respected by everyone. She enjoyed her annual trips to Bermuda, game nights with the Belthoffs, watching Jeopardy, anything chocolate, salon visits and some occasional Dubonnet. She also was very generous, saying “If I have it, I give it”.

Alice was a long time member of Hackensack Golf Club and enjoyed rounds with her husband and sons. Her greatest joy was her family and having them together for the holidays. A memorial mass will be held at Saint Elizabeth’s Church, 700 Wyckoff Ave, Wyckoff at 10 AM on Wednesday, followed by burial with her late husband in Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to Hackensack University Medical Center. Arrangements entrusted to C.C. Van Emburgh Funeral Home, Ridgewood, www.
