Alice’s Obituary Alice M. Lundquist, age 97, of Ashland, passed away with loving family by her side, Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Court Manor Health Services in Ashland. She was born March 1, 1921 in Highbridge, the daughter of Christian and Johanna (Kyrolahti) Suni. Alice was a 1941 graduate of Ashland High School.

She worked at North York store where she met her future husband, John Lundquist. The couple were married on December 7, 1946 in St. Paul, MN. Alice worked for Excello Corp in Detroit during WWII and for Burlington Water Works in Burlington, Iowa where they lived from 1947 to 1985.

Alice was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Burlington, IA and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Kimball, WI. She is survived by a son, John (Bonnie) Lundquist of Ridgeland, SC; a granddaughter, Lara (Mike) Odle of Waynesville, MO; a grandson, Todd Lundquist of Atlanta, GA; a great-grandson, Aiden Odle of Waynesville, MO; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John in 2001; six brothers, Walter, Carl, John, Hjalmer, Leonard and Tovio; five sisters, Lilian Simo, Marie Friel, Jean Suni, Ellen Tupanen and Ruth Luoma.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Williams officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be held in the Mt.

Hope Cemetery in Highbridge in the spring.
