Clarence’s Obituary Clarence James Gregoire, 87, of Ashland, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2019 at Memorial Medical Center in Ashland, WI, surrounded by his family and supportive dedicated medical staff. He was born on October 22, 1931 in Washburn, WI the son of John and Olga (Sollie) Gregoire. Clarence graduated from DePadua High School in 1950.

He went on to enlist in the United States Army and served two years. In 1954, Clarence married Mary Lou Nelson at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Ashland, WI, and together they had six children. Clarence worked as a meat cutter for 40 years at National Foods and Economart in Ashland.

He was a Packer fan and looked forward to watching the games each week. He was a very social person who enjoyed meeting new people. You could often find Clarence at Super One or Walmart.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Olga Gregoire; and his siblings, Dorothy, Tippy, Elaine, Clare, Shirley, Ray, Lloyd “Ozzie”, and John. He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou (Nelson) Gregoire, Ashland, WI; his six children, Debra (Steve) Bachand, Janet (Gary) Fossum, Donna (Tom) Stephens, Diane Gregoire, Sherri (Rob) Dietrich, and James (Crystal) Gregoire; 13 grandchildren, Bob, Jackie, Tony, Greg, Lana, Nick, Billy, Janine, Robbie, Stephanie, Matthew, Gunnar, and Linnea; 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Bill (Wild Willy) Gregoire; and many nieces and nephews. Clarence was loved dearly by his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

He will be missed by his family and friends and will remain in our hearts. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, February 8, 2019 at 12:00 P.M. at the Frost Home for Funerals in Ashland. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Arrangements are by Frost Home for Funerals, in Ashland.
