Steven’s Obituary Steven Leonard Wiggins, 65, of Odanah, WI, passed away on February 27, 2019 at Ashland Health Services. He was born March 8, 1953, in Chicago, IL the son of Samuel and Lillian (Arbuckle) Wiggins Jr. Steve graduated from Ashland High School in 1971. He attended school for heavy equipment operating and owned his own carpentry business.

He also worked for several years as a House Manager at the St. Croix Group Home for youth in Hertel, WI. In the past he worked at the Bad River Elderly Nutrition Program and traveled around the country as a food vender at Traditional Gathering’s. He loved playing the bass guitar and having jam sessions with his family and friends.

Living life season to season, we would find him making fishing lures, fishing, camping, cooking, hunting, harvesting wild rice, and making maple syrup. He is survived by 4 children, Steven (Mary) Nelis, Odanah, Darryl Nelis, Odanah, Billy Jo Nelis, Odanah, and Riana Wiggins, Tigerton, WI; 6 siblings, Michael Wiggins, Odanah, Charlie (Daisy) Wiggins, Odanah, Dan (Terry) Wiggins, Odanah, Kathleen Wiggins, Odanah, Kim Plantz, Shawano, WI, and Samuel Wiggins, Odanah; and aunt, Darlene; 14 grandchildren and one on the way; and numerous nieces and nephews. Steven is preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will begin after 5:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at the Bad River Community Center, in Odanah. Funeral Services will be on Sunday, March 3, 2019 at 10:00 AM with David D’Aquisto officiating at the Bad River Community Center. Burial will follow in the Odanah Cemetery.

The Frost Home for Funerals is assisting the family with arrangement.
