Evelyn’s Obituary Evelyn R. Toman of rural Ashland, passed away finishing her Earthly life well at the age of 92. She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. Evelyn was born to Anthony and Mary (Margetta) Schreiner on February 3, 1927 in Ashland, WI.

She married Joseph R. Toman on December 27, 1943 and they recently celebrated 75 years of marriage. They have four children, Clayton (Gail) Toman, the late Joseph A. Toman, Randolph E. Toman, and their daughter, Gina M. (Greg) Alexander, of Ashland, WI. She has five grandchildren, Mary, George, Leisha, Marilyn, and Betsy; three great grandchildren, Krisanne, Jackie and Cody, and four great great grandchildren, Daniel, Claire, Hayden and Eli.

Evelyn attended Trinity School and Ashland High School. She worked as a CNA at the Ashland Nursing Home for 19 years and Retired to the Toman Tree Farm where she and her husband Joe sold Christmas trees every year. She loved her flowers and the Sunshine of her grandchildren.

Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents, and her son, Joseph A. Toman. A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Fr. Duc Pham, O.F.M. officiating.

Visitation will be from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the church. The Frost Home for Funerals is assisting the family with arrangements.
