Mary’s Obituary Mary Louise Martin, age 78, of Ashland, passed away peacefully with loving family by her side on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at Court Manor Health Services in Ashland. She was born March 13, 1941 in Bozeman, Montana, the daughter of Raymond and Mary (Amberson) Martin. Mary married Walter Heron at a young age and through this union they had two children.

Mary volunteered throughout her life as a missionary and it was her life’s mission to help educate, promote faith and share the love of Jesus with as many people as she could. Her missionary work took her all over the world where she met many other devoted and faithful people. Mary worked a few years as a CNA in a nursing home prior to her retirement.

She lived in many places across the county and in Mexico before moving to Ashland in 2011. She continued her ministry by setting up prayer groups, bible studies and walking through the city and sharing her faith with those she met along the way. Mary was a member of Celebration Fellowship church in Ashland and she enjoyed painting, reading her bible and taking long prayerful walks.

She is survived by her children, Brian Heron and Merri (J.D.) Weber; 5 grandchildren, Phil (Tedra) Heron and Jules Heron, Chelsea Andino, Joshua Weber and Rochelle Lang; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Raetta, Sharon and Jannette; and nieces, nephews and other extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, infant great-grandchildren, Brooke and Jonah; and sister, Lynette. A celebration of Mary’s life will be held at 3:00 pm, Saturday, June 1, 2019 at Frost Home for Funerals in Ashland with J.D. Weber officiating.

A reception will follow the service at the funeral home. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service, 2 – 3 pm at the funeral home on Saturday.
