Shaw, age 88, a lifelong resident of Marlette, MI passed away with family by his side Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at United Hospice Service of Marlette Regional Hospital in Marlette. He was born November 11, 1930 on the family farm in Decker, MI son of the late Keith M. and Clara A. (Krueger) Shaw. He graduated from Marlette High School with the Class of 1949.

Allan married Doris J. Walker June 30, 1951 and they raised five sons on the family farm. He was past President of the Marlette School Board, past President of Thumb Electric Cooperative Board, on the Kingston State Bank and Independent Bank Boards, a member of Marlette Masonic Lodge # 343 F & AM and Caseville Eagles #3690. Allan enjoyed spending time at his cottage in Caseville, his house in Florida, fishing, gardening and farming.

Most of all he loved spending time with his family. Allan is survived by five sons, Ronald (Ruth) Shaw of Loveland, CO, Scott (Henrietta) Shaw of Caseville, MI, Stephen (Sheryl) Shaw of Decker, MI, Leslie (Cheryl) Shaw of Decker, MI and Kent (Jackie) Shaw of Clio, MI; 13 grandchildren, Tony Shaw, Courtney (Sara) Shaw, Stacie (Miguel) Cedeno, Ryan (Melissa) Shaw, Mark (Holly) Shaw, Lisa (Jason) Miller, Brent (Megan) Shaw, Matt (Cara) Shaw, Jason Shaw, Josh (Stacie) Shaw, Hannah Shaw, Logan Shaw and Marissa Shaw; 19 great grandchildren and one on the way; five sisters, Mabel (Jay) Caverly, Joyce Westerlund, Judith Smiley (Joe), Linda (Boyd) King and Cheryl (Brian) Voss; 1 brother, Dale (Wanda) Shaw; three sisters-in-law, Eleanor Shaw, Faye Shaw and Vivian Shaw; and special friend and companion, Lucille Lamphere of Attica, MI. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris on October 26, 1997; one great grandson, Cayden Shaw; four brothers, Russell, Kenneth, Robert and Roger Shaw; one sister, Aletha Mahaffy; three brothers-in-law, Irvin Mahaffy, Richard Westerlund and Ralph Smiley.

The Family will receive friends from 3 – 8 PM Friday, February 15, 2019 at Marsh Funeral Chapel in Marlette and from 10 AM until time of the service Saturday. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Marsh Funeral Chapel in Marlette with Reverend Gary Butterfield officiating. Burial will follow at Moore Township Cemetery, Snover, MI.
