Obituary of Alton Byer Alton Myles Byer, 23, Marion, passed away in his home at 4:20 p.m. on Tuesday, October 16, 2018. He was born in Kokomo on September 25, 1995, to Anthony and Alyssa (Dickey) Byer. Alton was a graduate of Mississinewa High School and worked at Wiley Metal in Marion.

He enjoyed baseball, softball, watching TV and movies, and playing X-Box. His favorite football team was the New Orleans Saints. He especially enjoyed spending time with his 19-month-old son, Aydan, and his friends.

He is survived by his parents, Anthony and Alyssa (Dickey) Byer, Marion; son, Aydan Myles Byer; brother, Alekzander (Samantha) Byer; maternal grandmother, Cathy L. Kelly, Gas City; maternal grandfather, James Dickey, Ohio; paternal grandmother, Ricky (Mike) Tucker, Marion; maternal great-grandmother, Louise Oswalt, Ohio; and uncles, Jason (Josie) Dickey and family, Ohio, Robin Byer and family, Marion, Nick Byer and family, Marion, and Lukus Tucker, Marion. He is also survived by many special friends. Preceding him in death were his sister, Alainee Maelynn Byer; paternal grandfather, Kerry Byer; paternal great-grandmother, Darlene “Nan” Hudson; and best friend, Mason Kelley.
