Obituary of Cindra Monts Cindra L. “Jake” Monts, 71, Marion, entered her heavenly home at 11:55 p.m. on Saturday, September 29, 2018, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. She was born in Marion on November 15, 1946, and was the daughter of the late Russell E. and Marguerite (Dilts) Hall. On January 2, 1970, she married her husband, Robert “Bob” Monts, and he survives.

Cindra owned and operated R&C Auctions and Jake’s Antiques for many years, working alongside her husband, Bob. She enjoyed antiques and spending time with all of her customers and vendors. Cindra was an avid Green Bay Packers fan since childhood and could always be found cheering them on.

She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Sunnycrest United Methodist Church, where she attended every Sunday that she could. Anyone who knew Cindra knew that her family was the most important aspect of her life. Sunday dinners and holidays where everyone could be together were her most favorite times.

Her two granddaughters were the lights of her life. Cindra leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Robert; son, Doug Monts; daughter, Kimberly (Rob) Kumler; granddaughters, Hayley Monts and Olivia Whisman; sister, Doris Bontrager; and adopted mom, Barbara Cummings. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Joyce Layman; and brothers, Edward and Stephen Hall. The family will receive visitors from 2 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave. , Marion, IN.

Services to celebrate Cindra’s life will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, October 4, 2018, at the funeral home with Pastor Mark Helm officiating. Burial will follow at Estates of Serenity. Memorial contributions may be directed to Muscular Dystrophy Association, 269 E. Dupont Rd.
