Obituary of Marsha Crabtree Marsha L. Crabtree, 74, Anderson, passed away at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at Providence Group Health Care in Anderson. She was born in Christopher, IL, on October 17, 1944, to the late George O. and Mary A. (Grogan) Palmer. In 1962, she married her loving husband, Robert Crabtree, and he preceded her in death in 2000.

Marsha graduated from Marion High School and continued her education at the University of Florida, where she received her bachelor’s degree in nursing. Throughout her professional career, she had worked as an RN at both Marion General Hospital and the VA Hospital in Gainesville, FL. She also worked in the Psych Ward at Cornerstone Behavioral Health Center.

Marsha loved her children and grandchildren and wanted to make sure she passed down the history of her family. So, she loved telling stories about her history. Marsha was a wonderful cook and especially enjoyed making candy and peanut butter fudge.

She also had quite the sense of humor and loved telling or playing jokes on others. She was a huge fan of Elvis and Betty Boop and had collected several memorabilia items over the years. Marsha also enjoyed writing but, most of all, it was her strong faith in God that carried her through and gave her hope for each day.

She will be dearly missed by her children, Robert Crabtree II, NC, Robin “Robbie” (Linda) Crabtree, WV, Mary Beth Crabtree, Anderson, Michael Crabtree, Anderson, and Sarah Crabtree, Anderson; daughters-in-law, Melody Pearman and Larraine Stambaugh; grandchildren, Robert “Bobbie”, Anthony “Tony”, Melissa, Marcy, Mandy, Emily, and Curtis (Ashley) Crabtree, Brian Stambaugh, Stephanie Martin, Danielle Nelson, and Kayla Stahly; 17 great-grandchildren; sisters, Eddie Jean “Jeanie” Williamson and Melanie S. Arvin; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, friends, and loved ones. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Christopher and John Ray Palmer. Visitation is from 10 a.m. to 12 noon with Marsha’s funeral service beginning at 12 noon on Thursday, November 15, 2018, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave.
