Obituary of Paul Burley Paul F. Burley, 86, Fairmount, went to be with the Lord at 6:45 a.m. on Sunday, September 30, 2018, at Wesleyan Healthcare Center in Marion. He was born in Grant County on October 3, 1931, to the late Clinton and Edith (Clem) Burley. Paul was a janitor with Eastbrook Community Schools until his retirement and was a life member of Circle G Saddle Club.

Throughout his life, he was actively involved with the Popcorn Festival in Van Buren, where he had a booth. He enjoyed going to the Indiana State Fair and to carnivals, and he also enjoyed scrapping and hunting for aluminum cans. He was an avid wrestling fan, watching WWF regularly.

Paul will also be remembered for being a devoted Christian who faithfully served the Lord. He attended Grace Community Church. He is survived by his sister, Creola Purtee, Marion; 7 nieces and nephews; and several great- and great-great-nieces.

Also preceding him in death were two brothers, Dave Burley and Junior Burley, and many lifelong best friends. The family will receive visitors from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, October 5, 2018, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave. , Marion, IN.

Immediately following the time of visitation, Paul’s funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. with Pastor Mark Hummel officiating. Burial will take place at Van Buren Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.
