Obituary for Amy E. Burger Amy E. Burger, 39, of York, died at home on Monday, December 24, 2018. Born in Hanover, she was the daughter of the late Glenn A. and Stephanie M. “Sue” (Archer) Lookenbill. Amy was the loving and caring wife of Ronald E. Burger; they were married November 22, 2015.

Amy was a Leukemia survivor, battling her illness from the age of 5. She helped many other Leukemia patients through her use of experimental drugs in fighting the disease. Through her fight with Leukemia, she was aided by the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Special Love’s Camp Fantastic.

Amy enjoyed crafts, especially making jewelry, crossword puzzles, and collecting snow globes. She was a loving mother to her children, Sara and Dakota Williams. Amy was a caring, loving, and warm person, and will be missed by all those she touched.

In addition to her husband and children, Amy is survived by her brother, Andrew Lookenbill and his wife, Stephanie; her sister, Angela Shaffer and her husband, Brian; her nieces and nephews, Taylor Lookenbill, Isabella Lookenbill, Daniel Shaffer, Courtney Einsig, Rebecca Shaffer, and Baron Shaffer; her sister-in-law, Patricia Clausen, and her step-children, Cathy, Brandon, Norma, and Jessica. Services for Amy will be held at the convenience of the family. To honor Amy, the family wishes donations in her memory be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation at www.
