Anita Marlene Alkire, 80, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away December 20, 2018. She was born May 21, 1938, in Terre Haute, Indiana to Charles Atterson and Mildred (Smith) Atterson. Anita was homemaker.

She was very caring, sweet and loving. She had a way of smiling and melting your heart and made everyone feel welcome and part of the family. Anita is well loved and she will be greatly missed.

Anita is preceded in death by her parents, husband Virgil Alkire, son Jeff Caton and grandson Travas Pruitt. She is survived by her children Steve Alkire (Angi), Melody Pemberton (Randy), Tina McCauley (Jeff), Diana Alkire (Dan), Tammy Pruitt (Jack); and tons of beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren. Memorial services are scheduled for Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. in Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, Indiana, 47804.

Kenny Alkire will officiate.
