Anita’s Obituary Anita Ruth Bakos, 73, of Granite City, IL, passed away at 5:43 p.m. Sun. Feb. 24, 2019 in Granite City.

She was born Oct. 5, 1945 in Arlington, KY to the late Marion Euen Farrow and Velma (Hoskins) Scheely. She and Joseph Bakos were married in St. Louis, MO in 1970 and he preceded her in death Jan.

2, 1996. Anita was a lifelong waitress and retired from Holiday Inn in downtown St. Louis after 37 years of service. She loved going to the casino and playing bingo She is survived by a son: Chris (Theresa) Bakos of Granite City; and a brother: Marion Gene (Madonna) Farrow of Granite City.
