Ann M. Simko, 94, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, July 12, 2018, at Humility House. She was born on June 26, 1924 in Lore City, Ohio, the daughter of Joseph and Mary Hudak Sabol. Ann was a 1942 graduate of Paris High School.

On June 21, 1947 John Simko and Ann were united in marriage at St. Joseph’s Church in Newton Falls. She was a member of St. Michael’s Byzantine Church. Ann worked a variety of positions throughout her lifetime, most notably she was a welder at Falls Tube and at the Dairy Queen in Newton Falls.

Ann enjoyed baking and raising flowers. She and John spent time traveling extensively. Cherished memories of Ann will be carried on by sons Richard (Linda) Simko of Newton Falls, John Simko of Huron, daughter Betty (David) Gwara of Newton Falls, and 4 grandchildren Tracey Simko, Michael Simko, Jon Gwara, and Stephanie Gwara.

Preceding Ann in death were her husband John, her sister Mary, and 6 brothers Joseph, John, Andrew, George, Steve and Paul. Family and friends may call on Tuesday July 17 from 10 AM – noon at the Bernard P. Borowski Memorial Home in Newton Falls where services will be held at noon. Ann will be laid to rest next to her husband John at the St. Michael’s Cemetery.
