RICHMOND, Ind. – Antonia J. “Toni” Bruno Tryon, age 97, of Richmond, Indiana, died Wednesday, January 23, 2019, at Golden Living Center-Golden Rule. Born October 12, 1921, in Kokomo, Indiana, to Antonio “Anthony” and Francesca D’Anna Bruno, Toni moved to Richmond in 1977, after previously living in California for 19 years.

She retired from the former Cox’s Supermarket and had formerly worked as a waitress. Toni was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. She enjoyed crafting, especially Christmas crafts and beading, and she loved to dance.

Toni always had a positive outlook on life and was an exciting person to be around. Her family always looked forward to her visits to Kokomo. Survivors include her nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her son, Frank Alan Tryon; parents; sisters, Baby Frances Bruno, Frances Bruno Cheeseman, and Eleanor Bruno Layton; brothers, Giuseppe, Frank, and Carl Bruno; and dear friend, Kathlene Smoker. Toni’s family would like to thank the staff of Golden Living-Golden Rule for the care and friendship they lovingly gave to Toni throughout the many years she lived there. They truly became an extension of Toni’s family.

Visitation for Antonia J. “Toni” Bruno Tryon will be from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 28, 2019, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 815 West Main Street, Richmond. Liturgy of Christian Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 28, 2019, at Holy Family Catholic Church with Deacon Jim Miller officiating. Burial will be in Economy Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 240 South 6th Street, Richmond, IN 47374. Condolences may be sent to the family via the guest book at www.
