Obituary for Argia M. Bertolino Argia M. Bertolino, 67, passed away on Friday, November 16, 2018, at her residence. Argia was born on March 31, 1951, the daughter of Fred and Mary (Florini) Bertolino. Her father passed when she was five years old.

Her mother passed away when she was sixteen. Argia was raised by her beloved step-father Wilfred Gusewelle. All three parents have preceded her in death.

Argia received her Associate of Business Degree at SIUE. She was employed by Florist Mutual / Hortica Insurance Company in Edwardsville for 31 years. Argia also worked in Client Relations for Simmons, Hanly, Conroy Law Firm in Alton for six and a half years, before retiring in June of 2010.

She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Prairietown. Argia enjoyed baseball (especially the Pittsburg Pirates) and football and watching her good friend Susie’s grandchildren in their events. She also enjoyed going to Branson, MO with Susie.

She is survived by her good friends, Susan and Dennis Paul of Prairietown, and cousin Margie and Allen Schmidt of Prairietown; her additional cousins, Norma Krohne of Prairietown, Marie Ruyle of Staunton and Bob and Sara Helton of Weldon, IL; her godchildren, Brian and Amy Paul, Bradley and Jeff Paul-Tait, Andrew Paul and his companion Blenda Hardas, and Julie and Carl Fox; and “grandchildren”, Julia and Claire Paul. Visitation will be from 9:30 am until the time of funeral service at 11:00 am at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Prairietown on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 with Pastor Willard Meyer officiating. Burial will follow at Prairietown Cemetery.
