B. Elizabeth’s Obituary B. Elizabeth Forsyth, 102, of Oswego, died January 19, 2019 at Morningstar Residential Care. Born in Louisburg, New York, she was the daughter of the late Matthew and Lillian (Gonyou) Whalen. She was a homemaker and a Girl Scout leader for 24 years.

She was also a member of the Coast Guard Aux for 10 years. Surviving are a daughter, Virginia Gebo, of San Antonio, TX; a son Donald F. Forsyth Sr. (Patricia Furman) of Oswego; six grandchildren, Linda (Daniel) Murdock, Donald Forsyth Jr. (Gaye Cooper), Amy (Robert) Goldman, Mary Jo Landino, Julie (Joseph) DeSantis and Barbara Gebo; six great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Frederick “Neil” Forsyth, a son John J. Forsyth, daughter in law Rachel Forsyth, and a great-grandson Daniel Murdock.

In lieu of flowers, if you would like to remember Elizabeth in a special way, please donate to a charity of your choice, in her name. Calling hours will be 2-4 pm on Sunday, January 27th 2019 at the Nelson Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Monday, January 28th, time and location to be determined.
