Obituary of Beatrice Lowe Beatrice “Bea” Lowe February 18, 1924 ~ February 20, 2019 Beatrice “Bea” Lowe, 95, Marion, passed away on February 20, 2019 at Marion General Hospital surrounded by family. She was born on February 18, 1924, to the late Thomas and Beatrice (Monahan) Morgan in Indianapolis. She married Albert J. “Bud” Lowe, Sr. on September 18, 1947 and he preceded her in death in April of 1997.

Bea was an active member of St. Paul Catholic Church, the Rosary Society and the American Legion. She had also been a member of the Marion chapter of Phi Delta Kappa Club since 1961. She retired from the V.A after 20 years of service as a nursing assistant and was then a member of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees.

Bea loved her family, never met a stranger and would never be heard speaking a bad word about anyone She is survived by her son, Allen Stroud, Marion; daughter-in-law, Sharon (Tony) Lowe-Meredith, Wabash; grandchildren, Michelle Lowe, Wabash and Shay (Ryan) Trotter-Nichols, Ft. Wayne; great-granddaughter, MaKenna Lowe, Wabash; and numerous other nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Bea was preceded in death by her daughter, Shirley Lowe-Trotter; son, Albert Lowe, Jr.; brothers, Joe Morgan, Thomas Morgan and William Morgan; and sister Mary King.

The family will receive visitors from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, February 24, 2019 at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel 1341 N. Baldwin Ave. , Marion, IN 46952. Bea’s funeral will take place on Monday, February 25, 2019 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church 1031 W. Kem Rd.

, Marion, IN 46952 with Father Christopher Roberts officiating. Burial will take place following the funeral at Grant Memorial Park. The family would like to extend a very special thank-you to the staff at York Place for their care and compassion.
