Obituary for Benjamin Franklin Benjamin M. Franklin, 73, of Houtzdale died Sunday February 18, 2018 at Mt. Nittany Medical Center. He was born April 24, 1944 in Petersburg, a son of Thomas Henry and Belva Anna (Stricker) Franklin.

Surviving are two sons; Benjamin M. II and fiancée Joy Bogel of Warriors Mark, Robert and wife Jodie of State College, a grandson Cameron, three sisters; Mona McCabe of Alexandria, Shirley Flood of Baltimore, Maryland, Colleen Cramer of Lewistown, a brother Thomas of Englewood, Tennessee and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. He was a self-employed flooring contractor and logger.

He was a member of the Tyrone VFW and American Legion and was a U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam. He enjoyed taking care of horses and shooting pool. There will be no visitation or services.
