Bejster, 84, of Marseilles, formerly of Marion, passed away Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Morris Hospital. A visitation and celebration of life will be from 2-4 p.m. Friday, January 25 at 356 Pearl Street in Marseilles. Seals-Campbell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He was born November 4, 1934, in LaSalle, to Bernard and Theresa (Mankowski) Bejster. In 1983, he married Janet Castelli of Mendota who preceded him in death in 2013. Bernie was employed by Caterpillar until his retirement.

He was a lifelong cubs fan and he grew up in the bleachers at Wrigley Field, which was one of his favorite places to be. He was also an avid fisherman. He is survived by two daughters, Vicki (Michael) Graves of Marseilles and Susan (George) Alaimo of Ottawa; four sons, Ken Bejster of San Antonio, TX, Randy (Cindy) Kohr of Utica, Larry Kohr of LaSalle, and James Castelli of Princeton; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Jerry (Nancy) Bejster of Granville and LeRoy (Heidi) Bejster of South Carolina.
