Betty Dingle, 93, of Cascade MD, passed away on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at the Maryland Masonic Home in Hunt Valley. She was the wife of the late Joseph Dingle, her husband of 48 years. Betty was born in Foxville, MD on July 4, 1925 to Clyde and Hazel Toms Kendall.

Upon her mother’s death, when Betty was just 1-year old, she grew up with the Miller family of Foxville. Surviving siblings in that family are Robert Miller and Hazel “Pean” Zinkhan. Dingle… Read More » and his wife Leitha of Myrtle Beach, SC; her daughter-in-law Sue Dingle of Hunt Valley and 3 great-grandchildren; Carlie, Kirsten and Kayla Dingle.

Betty also is survived by her half-brother Gary Kendall of Sabillasville. In addition to her husband, Betty was predeceased by her son, Dwight O. Dingle, her brother Robert Kendall and half-brother George Kendall. Betty was the office manager for the Dingle Brothers Plumbing Co. and later worked as a proofreader for Doubleday Publishing and for Moore’s of Thurmont.

She was a member of the Bethel Church of God in Cascade. The focus of her life was being a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her fun loving and spirited presence will be missed by all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, contributions, in her memory, may be made to the Dwight Dingle Scholarship Fund of Carroll Community College, 1601 Washington Road, Westminster, MD 21157 or to the Alzheimer’s Association. , 1850 York Rd D, Timonium, MD 21093. Services are private.
