Betty Luan Jackson, age 94, of Macomb, passed away at 8:15 a.m. on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at the Heartland Healthcare Center in Macomb. She was born on April 27, 1924 in Macomb, Illinois, the daughter of Fred and Iva Barnes Teel. She married Leslie Jackson on June 20, 1944 in Macomb.

He preceded her in death on November 19, 1989. Betty is survived by several nieces and nephews and a dear friend Marv of Colchester. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters Treva Alton, SueJane Teel, and Norma Bloomfield.

Betty had lived in Arizona for several years, in Colchester for 15 years, and moved to Macomb in 1971. She had worked at King-Sealey in Macomb, and had also worked as a cook for Alpha Gamma Rho at W.I.U. in Macomb, before her retirement. Graveside funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Macomb.

Pastor Ted Shirley will officiate. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to the Betty Jackson Memorial Fund.
