(Bill) Wayland, 95, of Macomb, Illinois, passed away 10:35 AM Wednesday March 13, 2019 at the Illinois Veterans Home in Quincy, Illinois. He was born November 18, 1923 in Colchester, Illinois to William and Caroline (Hunter) Wayland; he married Donna Sticklen on January 9, 1945. She preceded him in death on July 13, 2010.

He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Hartman “Bud” Wayland, Champ Wayland; sisters, Caroline Kimbrough and Lanone Heikes. Surviving are his children, William Michael (Rebecca) Wayland, of Macomb, Illinois, Patrick Lynn (Cinda) Wayland of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, Timothy (Jan) Wayland of Macomb, Illinois, Kelly (Rick) Deason of Daphne, Alabama; 8 grandchildren and 7 great-greatgrandchildren. Also surviving a special friend, Patricia Bruley.

He served in the Air Force during World War II and Korea. He was a member of the Macomb Rotary Club, Paul Harris Fellow, Macomb Area Chamber of Commerce, Macomb Jaycees, Macomb American Legion, Macomb VFW, Macomb Elks Lodge 1009 and First Presbyterian Church. A Celebration of Life will be held at Macomb American Legion Friday March 22, 2019 from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM; with Military Rites at 10:45 AM at the American Legion.

Cremation has been accorded. Burial of Ashes will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Memorial Contributions to the Illinois Veteran’s Home or to the Macomb American Legion Post 6.
