Betty McCameron June 15, 1932 – November 05, 2017 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Betty Ruth (Cotham) McCameron, age 85 of Lenoir City, passed away at her home Sunday morning, November 5, 2017 surrounded by her family. Betty was born to the late Marvin and Dora Bell (Henson) Cotham in Thayer, Missouri. She worked for many years in the Howard County School System in Indiana.

She relocated to E. Tennessee where she lived out her retirement years close to family. Betty was a member of the Lenoir City Church of Christ. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Jack Russell McCameron; granddaughter, Amber Marie McCameron and 16 siblings.

Survived by her sons and wives, Jackey Ray (Deborah) McCameron, Antioch, IL, William Russell (Carin) McCameron, Lenoir City and Joseph Bryan (Kathy) McCameron, Knoxville; grandchildren, Chad, Benjamin, Jennifer, Sarah E., Madison, Sarah R. and Justin; great-grandchildren, Alex, Carly, Sam, Cooper, Hayden and Breanna; sister, Mildred Barthlomee, Thayer, MO and a multitude of nieces and nephews. Services honoring and remembering Betty McCameron will be held 7:00 PM Tuesday, Nov. 7th, McGill-Karnes Chapel with Mr. Jesse Nelsen officiating and special music provided by Bill and Shannon Watkins.

The family will travel to Thayer, Missouri for committal services on Friday, Nov. 10th. Carter Funeral Home in Thayer will serve the family in Missouri.

Contributions in memory of Mrs. McCameron may be made to The Jones Mission Fund, c/o Garry Jones, P.O. Box 298, Clinton, TN 37717. The family will receive friends 5:00 – 6:45 PM Tuesday prior to the service at McGill-Karnes Funeral Home, 406 Wharf St. Loudon. www.
