Beulah Spigarelli, 99, of Iron Mountain, passed away March 13, 2019 with her family and friends by her side. She was born to the late James and Betty Coombes, November 26, 1919 in Escanaba, Michigan. At the age of sixty, Beulah earned her CNA certificate, an accomplishment she was extremely proud of.

Beulah married the late Orlando Spigarelli in 1952, and they lived on the Northside of Iron Mountain for over forty years. Beulah is survived by her four daughters: Dixie Brown, Sherry Christ, Sally (Doug) Beauchamp, Tammy Spigarelli, and her daughter-in-law, Judy Larson, all of Iron Mountain. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren: Jason (Mary Beth) Brown, Heather (Billy) Hughes, Grant (Simone) Brown, Kelly (Jacque) Le Mire, Lanny (Lee) Brown, Katie (Marshall) Geltz, and Ross Beauchamp.

She also leaves behind thirteen great-grandchildren and three very special friends: Betty (Denny) Anderson, Babe Swanson and Irene Ebidon. Beulah was preceded in death by her adoring husband, two sons, Donald Larson and Randy Spigarelli, and two son-in-laws, Richard Brown and Jerry Christ. Beulah worked as a CNA for home health care and in the local nursing homes for over fourteen years.

Her generous nature, kindness, and fun-loving spirit made her a top-notch nurse. She also worked for many years at Colenso’s Dept. Store with her late, good friend, Evelyn Grubb.

She was a member of the Episcopal Church in Iron Mountain, and a member of Club 399 and their card club. Beulah and Orlando both loved to travel. Every summer, when their children were small, they would load up their travel trailer and drive cross country with friends from Club 399.

During her retirement years, she spent time down South with those same friends and traveled to Europe with her daughters. Beulah was an extraordinary person, whom people loved to be around. When her children were teenagers, their friends always wanted to talk to her and listen to her stories.

As her children grew up, their friends still continued to visit with Beulah. Family activity always surrounded Beulah, up until her death. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were always bursting in to seek her advice, eat, and visit.

We will all miss her fun-loving spirit, unwavering determination, and generosity. Funeral service will be forthcoming in June when all of her family can be present. Condolences may be expressed to the family of Beulah Spigarelli online at www.
