Doris L. Brockington, 96, of Green Bay, passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Emerald Bay Assisted Living in Hobart, WI. She was born on Sept. 14, 1922 in Garden, MI, daughter of Amie and Agnes (LaMothe) LaSelle.

Doris graduated in 1939 from Kingsford High School and always stayed true to her beloved Flivvers, eventually becoming a secretary for Breitung Township schools and working there for many years. On June 21, 1941 Doris married Leslie Brockington and they enjoyed 63 years of marriage before his passing in 2004. Doris was a member of St. Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Kingsford and Oak Crest Golf Course in Norway.

She enjoyed golfing and traveling, especially spending winters in Brooksville, Florida with Les. Doris loved spending time with her family and will be deeply missed. She is survived by four sons, Gary Brockington of Howard, WI, Randall (Sandra) Brockington of Sobieski, WI, Daniel (Debra) Brockington of Waukesha, WI and Richard (Kathleen) Brockington of Celina, TX; six grandchildren, Tracy Strength, Tiffany Brockington, Robert (Tamara) Brockington, Melissa (Kevin) Kampmann, Tony (Becky) Brockington and Nathan (Aly) Brockington; 5 great-grandchildren, Havanah and Cade Brockington, Makenna and Brynn Kampmann, Jaxson Deicher, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie, in 2004 and a brother, Orville LaSelle. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Thursday at St. Mary Queen of Peace in Kingsford. Fr.

Mike Woempner will offer the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be in the Quinnesec Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of Emerald Bay Assisted Living for the compassionate care Doris received during her stay there.
