Obituary of Beverly C. Crandall Beverly C. Crandall, 89, formerly of 4053 N. Oriental Avenue, Bemus Point, died Friday, March 15, 2019, in Bemus Point at the home of her daughter Janelle, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born February 17, 1930, in Jamestown, the daughter of the late Joseph and Grace Day Eckwahl. She was a graduate of Bemus Point High School.

She considered herself a homemaker; however, she had worked at Nelson’s Department Store, Quality Markets, Rochester Products SUNY Brockport, Avon and volunteered at school for several years. An active member of Bemus Point United Methodist Church since 1946, she took part in many of the ministries over the years. She sang in the choir for 60 years.

She was also a charter and life member of Ellery VFW Ladies Auxiliary where she held the office of secretary. She enjoyed meeting with high school friends for monthly dinners throughout her adult life. She also was an avid golfer, enjoyed bowling, entertaining, painting, knitting, and crocheting.

More than anything, she loved time spent with family. Surviving are four daughters Holley (Richard) Bland, Jr., Janelle (J. Scott) Lindstrom and Lisa (Michael) Steffen all of Bemus Point and Michele (Michael) Meaney of Sykesville, MD; a son Martin (Mary) Crandall of Bemus Point; eleven grandchildren Bryce (Rachael) Steffen, Brett (Jessica) Steffen, Ross (Nissa) Bland, Ramsey Bland, Alyssa Lindstrom, Andrew (Kaylie) Lindstrom, Caitlin (T.J.) Cresswell, Calvin (Alicia) Meaney, Craig (Jennifer) Meaney, Liam Crandall, and Emily Crandall and twelve great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Herbert L. Crandall, whom she married October 25, 1947, and who died August 4, 2012, an infant son Jeffrey Kent Crandall in 1952 and two brothers Philip Eckwahl in 1984 and Harold Eckwahl in 2017. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Bemus Point United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Bemus Point Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in the Lind Funeral Home.
