Obituary of Dorris E. Fischer Dorris E. Fischer, 93, formerly of 264 E. Terrace Ave. Lakewood, NY, passed away at 10:33 a.m. Friday, March 8, 2019, in UPMC Chautauqua. An area resident for most of her life, she was born October 4, 1925 in Westfield, NY, a daughter of the late Roswell and Ada Lettan Canfield.

In previous years she had worked for several different business in the area including the former Shea’s Theater, the Velvet Villa, Sears, Penney’s and had also worked for the Chautauqua County Child Protective Services. She also was a dealer for the Ideal and Friendly Home Parties for 35 years. Surviving are two daughters; Roberta J.F. (David) Chapman of Lakewood, NY, Suzette (Jerry) Paduano of Panama, NY, a son; Lee Robert (Sharon) Fischer of Lakewood, 14 grandchildren; Christine Hillman, Robert Robbins, James Robbins, Debra Young, Albert Chapman, Carol Chapman, Joy Chapman, Dana Chapman, David Chapman, Donna Jo Capozziello, Heather Rose Newport, Jennifer McDonald, Kristin McNitt, Nicholas Paduano, several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert J. Fischer whom she married July 3, 1947 and who died December 17, 2002. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed.

Burial will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery.
