Blanche’s Obituary Blanche O’Brien, 88, of Mt. Bethel, PA passed away Sunday, March 10th, at her residence. Blanche was born in Cranberry, NJ on July 9, 1930, a daughter of the late Louis and Anne (Crowther) Zenga.

She was the wife of John O’Brien. They celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary last March. Blanche was a 1947 graduate of Freehold High School in Freehold, NJ.

She enjoyed ceramics, knitting, crafts, and going to yard sales and the casino. She was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church in Bangor, PA, where she was a member of the Ladies Sodality. Blanche was also a member of the Young Women’s Club in Mt.

Bethel, PA. In addition to her husband, John, Blanche is survived by four daughters, Kathleen O’Brien, Patricia Korkos, wife of Greg, Dorothy Rodrigues, wife of Manuel, and Rose Thompson, a son, John O’ Brien, two sisters, Marie Urban and Rose Hormann, 9 grandchildren; Shannon Huston wife of Michael, Stephanie Marsh wife of Shaun, John Korkos husband of Sara, Maria and Eduardo Rodrigues, Jennifer and Matthew Thompson, Mary and Sean O’Brien and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter Mary O’ Brien, and 3 brothers.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Saturday, March 16th at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 436 S. 2nd St, Bangor, PA with Fr. Stephen Maco officiating. Family & friends are invited to call 6 to 8 PM on Friday, March 15th and Saturday, March 16th from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at James B. Gaffney Funeral Home, 314 S. First St., Bangor, PA.

Burial will be held at the St. James Cemetery, Jamesburg, NJ. Online condolences may be offered at gaffneyparsons.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church 436 S. Second Street Bangor, PA 18013.
