The family will greet visitors and friends from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, February 11, 2019 at the Morris Assembly of God Church, 206 N. Hughes in Morris, Oklahoma. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at the Morris Assembly of God Church, 206 N. Hughes in Morris officiated by the Rev.
Richard Carender. Following a family luncheon at the church, entombment will be at 3:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Memorial Park Cemetery in McAlester. Pallbearers will be Kolton Bullard, Bart Nunes, Jessie Nunes, Terry McCormick, Tom Roberts, Buddy Lacey, Tracy Stacy, and Cotton Rowland.
Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Jobe, John Grim, Gene Kaiser, Jerry Shoemake, Jay Argo, Johnny Shackelford, Jerry Shackelford, Danny Shackelford, James Smith, and Nelson Tanner. Bobby was born on July 19, 1940 in McAlester, the oldest child of Jessie Francis Bullard and Frankie Arbency Hardy Bullard. He graduated from McAlester High School in 1958 and attended OSU Tech in Okmulgee, Oklahoma.
He then started his 35 year career as a telephone repairman for GTE. Bobby loved to play baseball, and to compete in calf roping and team roping. In 1980, he began training race horses.
For the next 20 years, he trained numerous paint and quarter horse winners. He loved to travel and had the opportunity to visit Hawaii, Alaska, New Zealand, and Australia with his wife, Barbara. He also enjoyed watching his granddaughter, Kaileigh, perform and grandson, Kolton, play sports.
An avid sports fan, Bobby watched hours of baseball, football, rodeo, and mixed martial arts. He was a long-time member of the Morris Assembly of God Church, Communication Workers of America, American Quarter Horse Association, and American Paint Horse Association. He was a former member of the International Rodeo Association.
Bobby is survived by his wife of 60 years: Barbara J Bullard; his daughter: Debra Lynne Richardson and husband Terry of Elmore City; son: Mark David Bullard of Gallatin, Tennessee; grandchildren: Kaileigh Nicole Bullard of Nashville, Tennessee and Kolton Clark Bullard of Gallatin, Tennessee; their mother: Gayle Bullard of Gallatin, Tennessee. Bobby is also survived by his sisters: Cheryl Nunes and Bart of Morris, Gail McCormick and husband, Terry of Morris; and Wanda Pivarnik-Bain and husband, Larry of Topeka, Kansas; brother: Jimmy Bullard of Morris; eight nieces; three nephews; and a host of cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents: Jessie and Frankie Bullard, niece: Dena Rae McCormick, nephew: Jimmy Bullard, Jr, and brother-in-law: Jerry Pivarnik.
