A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 11, 2019 at Hugh Low Cemetery officiated by Mr. Richard Sparks. Pallbearers will be Danny Kelton, Kenny Shumway, Bobby Shumway, Jacob Kelton, T. J. Kelton, and Nick Kelton.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Kelton and Jim Kelton. Vernon was born to Willis Ray and Wilma (Wiggins) Kelton on August 23, 1958 in Fresno, California. He worked as a carpenter and mechanic for several years.

Vernon was a bull rider and bare back rider. He enjoyed playing golf, fishing, coon hunting, and caring for his animals, especially his dog, Roman, and horse, Caesar. Vernon was preceded in death by his father: Willis Ray Kelton, Sr; mother: Wilma Nerone; stepfather: John Nerone; brother: Tim Kelton.

He is survived by his daughters: Jennifer Hill and husband, Andrew of Heber Springs, Arkansas, Jessica Sparks and husband, Ethan of Locust Grove, Arkansas, Stephanie Fine and husband, Eric of Eufaula; grandchildren: Kaylee Lynn Clark, Carter James Sparks; brother: Willis Ray Kelton, Jr. of California; sister: Linda Neuman and husband, Kevin of Illinois; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and other family members and friends.
