The family would like to invite friends to lunch at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 1, 2019 at Apostolics of McAlester, 300 E. Carl Albert Parkway. Please use the west entrance.

David Lee was born on August 7, 1953 in McAlester to Walter Lee and Sarah Louise (Welsh) Amos. He graduated from McAlester High School in the class of 1971. He attended college at East Central before starting employment at the Navy Ammunition Depot.

He later moved to Louisiana, where he worked offshore drilling for several years. David later moved to Texas where he begin working in construction. He returned to McAlester to be near family, and worked for Atlantic Meeco and Miller Glass Company.

David enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. He lived his life to the fullest, being a free spirit with care free living. David is survived by his son: Aaron Amos of the home; brothers and sisters: Kathy Mowery of McAlester, Paul Amos of Oklahoma City, Larry Amos, Becky Hallford, both of McAlester, Tim Amos of Durant, Mark Amos and wife, Donna of Whitesboro, Texas, and Leanna Amos and Michael Cox of McAlester.

He is also survived by his father: Walter Amos; common law wife: Lydia Hutchings, both of McAlester; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. David was preceded in death by his mother: Sarah Amos, paternal grandmother: Angeline Moore Amos, paternal grandfather: Jefferson Lee Hancock, and maternal grandparents: Alice Chamness and Alfred Welsh.
