Randy Russell Blackwelder July 10, 1964 – March 20, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Randy Russell Blackwelder, 54, of Savanna, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2019. The family will greet friends on Sunday, March 24, 2019 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Bishop Funeral Service in McAlester. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 25, 2019 at Bishop Chapel of Memories with Pastor Keith Kinnamon officiating.

Interment will follow at North Town Cemetery in McAlester. Pallbearers will be Michael McDonald, Chris Botts, Tony Pierson, Christopher Pierson, Anthony Pierson, and Damien Miller. Randy was born July 10, 1964 in Tyler, Texas to O.B. Blackwelder and Ellen Sue (Gabbard) Welch.

Randy worked as a roustabout in the oil field. He was big-hearted and willing to give to those in need. He never met a stranger, and enjoyed life to the fullest.

There wasn’t a day that he wasn’t laughing and joking. Randy was preceded in death by his parents: O.B. Blackwelder and Ellen Welch. He is survived by his son: Randy Wade Blackwelder of McAlester; sister: Laura McDonald and husband, Mike of McAlester; niece: Amber Young; nephews: Jeremy Snow, Kyle McDonald, and Michael McDonald; two great-nieces; four great-nephews; close friends: Tony Graham, Jim and April Hobbs; and a host of other family and friends.
