Kenneth Henry July 20, 1989 – March 15, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Kenneth “Kenny” Henry, 29, of McAlester died Friday, March 15, 2019 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. The family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at Chaney’s Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at Chaney’s Memorial Chapel with Brother Chip Lott and Father Kingsley George-Obilonu officiating.

The burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, McAlester. Pallbearers will be Kelly Matney, James Dinwiddie, Michael Kelton, Brandon Keith, Daniel Landrey and Bradley Robertson. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Johnson, Guy Johnson, Windell Henry, Rob Robertson, Johnny Johnson, Michael Prichard, Peter Prichard, Trevor Dunbar and Kenny’s Co-Workers from Walmart.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Cupola renovation fund. Kenny is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Robert, Jr. and Carrie Dunbar; uncle, Bobby Dunbar; maternal great grandparents, Earl and Eula Henry and Ernest and Modest Mayo. Kenny was born July 20, 1989.

Kenny was baptized at the age of 10. He attended Frink Schools until 8th grade. Kenny then attended Savanna High School where he enjoyed playing football and Ag.

He graduated with the Class of 2007. Following high school, Kenny attended Kiamichi Tech to study HVAC. Kenny worked at Game Stop and for the last 4 years in the electronics department at Walmart.

He enjoyed reading and gaming. Kenny leaves to cherish his memory, parents, Stephen and Shawnia Dunbar of McAlester; brother, Nicholas Dunbar of McAlester; maternal grandparents, Earl and Fayrene Henry of McAlester; uncles and aunts, Bill and Jennifer Johnson of Springfield, MO, Guy and Sharon Johnson of Luther, Windell Henry of McAlester, Debbie Dunbar of McAlester, Stephanie and Rob Robertson of McAlester and Sharon Dunbar Klippel of McAlester; along with several cousins, great aunts, great uncles and two close friends, Kelly Matney and Daniel Landrey.
