Davenport, age 68 of Crowder passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at his home. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at Crowder Free Will Baptist Church in Crowder with military honors by the US Air Force Honor Guard and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol Honor Guard. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Danny Doss, Jim Wright, Frank Motes, David Smith, Donald Sappington and Skip Evans.

Larry was born May 25, 1950 in McAlester, Oklahoma to Jewell Donald and Lowis Marie (Smith) Davenport. He Graduated from McAlester High School and later entered the United States Air Force on January 1, 1976. Larry earned his honorable discharge on July 16, 1979, earning the rank of Staff Sergeant.

He worked as a patrolman with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol until his retirement. Larry married Judy (Morrow) Beshear on November 24, 1990 at deer camp near Hartshorne, Oklahoma. Larry is survived by his wife, Judy Davenport of the home, his children, Geina Motley and husband, Dale of Crowder, Josh Middleton of Stroud, Benny Joe Beshear of Hartshorne, Tami Campbell and husband, Chase of Slick, and Brittany Beshear of Crowder.

He is also survived by his brother, Dale Davenport and wife, Pam of Council Hill, Ok, Grandchildren, Tyler Joe James, Joshua Gene Motley, Hunter Quade Motley, Sierra Nicole Bigelow, Kaitlyn Deann Motley, Kimberly Dawn Motley, Kelsea Dayle Motley, Chance Beshear, Brooklyn Beshear, Lynlee Campbell, Shooter Campbell, Harley Campbell, Brycen Dean Swing, Ruger Shane O’Daniel and Chevy Shane Beshear and two great-grandchildren, Braylynn Renee James and Colt Dale James Larry was preceded in death by his parents, J.D. & Marie Davenport, brothers, Jeff Davenport and Rick Davenport, son, Dustin Beshear, and mother-in-law, Pauline Hartsell.
