Bobby Lewis Wideman July 07, 1959 – August 09, 2018 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Mr. Bobby Lewis Wideman, 59, of 110 Brown Road in Cokesbury, South Carolina entered into eternal rest on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at Self Regional Healthcare after a long illness. He was born on July 7, 1959 to the late Ola Mae Wideman Murray. He was reared by Willie Lee Murray.

At an early age he joined Holy Spring Baptist Church. He attended McCormick Public Schools and retired from Satterfield Construction Company after several years of service. He also was employed by MAU Staffing Company.

Bobby hobbies consisted of fishing, cooking, and gardening. Bobby’s declining health limited him from doing many things, but he loved his family and friends with all of his heart. He is preceded in death by his mother, his devoted wife, Lynette Jackson Wideman and his mother-in-law, Lottie Brown Jackson.

Leaving to cherish his most precious memories are; a special friend, Annie Blocker of Greenwood, South Carolina; his father, Willie Lee Murray of McCormick, South Carolina; two daughters, Italia Gilchrist (Jerome) of Honea Path, South Carolina and Latasha White of Greenwood, South Carolina; four grandchildren, six great grandchildren; eight sisters, Dorothy Murray, Annette Murray, and Carolyn Jackson all of McCormick, South Carolina; Janice Gilliam of Ninety-Six, South Carolina, Wanda Sanders of Milwaukee Wisconsin; Shamekia Middleton of Elkhart, Indiana; Rose Middleton and Peggy Middleton both of South Bend, Indiana; four brothers, Michael Murray (Pam) of Greenwood, South Carolina; Robert “Pooky” Moore of McCormick, South Carolina; David Middleton of Elkhart, Indiana and Larry Middleton of Mishawaka, Indiana; five aunts, Thelma (Bernard) Morton, Gertrude Murray, Ora Wideman and Mildred Fambrough all of McCormick, South Carolina and Peggy Woods of Detroit, Michigan; two uncles, Tom (Thomasina ) Wideman of McCormick, South Carolina and Robert (Penny) Wideman of Jonesboro, Georgia; his God mother, Carrie Mae Creswell of McCormick, South Carolina; nieces, nephews, and a host of cousins and friends who will miss him dearly. Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 in the Chapel of Parks Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Linda M. Tucker, pastor & officiating.

Burial will be in Oakbrook Memorial Parks in Hodges, South Carolina. Pallbearers will be James Searles, Tyzay Jackson, Tony Wideman, LeTravious Murray, Thomas Warren, Anthony Speaks, and Curtis Wideman. Flower Bearers will be Family and Friends.

Honorary Escorts will be The MAU Staffing Company. The family is at the home of his father, Willie Lee Murray 325 Bradley Road in McCormick, South Carolina. Parks Funeral Home is assisting the Wideman-Murray Family.
