Obituary for Brenda Naquin Brenda Rodrigue Naquin, 65, a native of Lake Charles and resident of Houma, Louisiana passed away on September 21, 2018. No chains are holding me it, it’s who I chose to be everybody say now I’m free indeed… We have no choice of the vessel we are placed in to travel through this journey here on earth. We have no idea of the dates and times that journey will end.

Brenda’s choice was to live free in Christ despite any chains that tried to bind her. She loved people with a pure heart and her family was her pride and joy. Her faith that God would always see her through was always evident and she never missed an opportunity to share encouragement to anyone who would listen, and even those who wouldn’t.

We rejoice as she steps away from these earthly chains, and steps into her golden chariot to begin her journey on the other side as she watches over those she loves. We will all miss her, yet we rejoice in her return home as we know that now she is free. Indeed her memory and her words of encouragement are carried on by: husband, C.J. Naquin Jr. (67); sons, Jarrod Bolt (43) and wife Leah, Brandon Bolt Sr. (35) and wife Sherya; grandchilden, Verian Mae, Brandon Jr., Baelyn, Bayli, Shakayla, Shanna, Shakira, Trace-anne, and Shanice; great-grandchild, Sai’lyn; sister, Barbara Finster; brother, James Rodrigue; as well as several nieces and nephews; and Maggie.
