Obituary for Edward James Richard Edward Richard, 66, a native of Houma and resident of Chacahoula, passe d away September 18, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. A visitation will be held in his honor on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at Samart Funeral Home of Houma, West Park (4511 West Park Avenue, Gray) from 2:00 PM until 7:00 PM. He is survived by his wife, Cathy Vigie Richard; daughter, Melissa R. Patterson; son, Brian J. Richard, sisters, Beverly Miller, Carmenlet Matherne, Beth Vito, Marie Baker, Mary DeHart and Cecile Comardelle; brother, “Voo” Comardelle; granddaughters, Sabrina Babin, Tabitha Leedy, Samantha Leedy and Ava Patterson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Resonie and Lawrence LeBlanc Richard and LouAllen Matherne and Rita Gautreaux Comardelle; sister, Elizabeth Barile: brother, Lenard Gautreaux. He was a loving husband, father and PawPaw and will be missed by all. Samart Funeral Home of Houma, West Park is in charge of arrangements.
